WFMU Weekend

What a whirlwind… I spent most of the week leading up to it buying records that were walking in by the box, staying up late pricing and cleaning, repricing older items, cleaning up the shop… and of course when the fair actually rolled around I was on the verge of breaking down physically. All Friday I was kind of feverish and off my game, despite scoring here and there I wasn’t really too into it. Saturday made up for that though and I swear I’ve never seen that many people in the convention. Absolutely packed… folks might complain about the aggressive nature of the digging and the pressure of wanting to get through all those boxes, but you can’t front on the sheer amount of vinyl on display. Good action, great friends, and of course the NYC crowd is like none other. After a minor shindig down at the shop me and the homies

we went up to club APT for the monthly Bumpshop party where the homie Dante Carfagna was playing. We shut that shit down until closing time! DJ Shadow played a guest set, I bought drinks for the heavy comp from Amsterdam, got booted in some back room and then got booted out of it. Next year we’ll do it all over again.

Damn it sounds like a blast. I’m gonna have to make it out there for it one of these days.
