The Art Reynolds Singers – Long, Dusty Road
Dedicated to my man Bret, who’s going through it…
A personal favorite, deep gospel on a Sunday night.

This song (Long Dusty Road) touched me deeply as far back as 1967, when I was only 6 years old. 41 years later the song still touches me deeply. I’ve been searching for this song for years, but could never find it. Thanks for this wonderful post!
PS What happened to the first part of the song (the slow version)? This was the most inspirational part because it really show-cased the singer’s voice

Not sure what you’re referring to in the first part of the song, as this is simply recorded from the LP of the same name, direct from the vinyl to my hard drive. I didn’t edit it in any way. Thanks for the kind words!

How can I get a copy of this song with the words? I simply love it and try to sing along when I hear it. It was played today on a gospel radio station that I listen to and I still enjoy it. I can be reached at 267-902-5782. Thanks and God bless

Hi folks, I just tried looking around the internet for some lyrics, but no luck. The LP it is featured on does not have a transcript either. Try transcribing it yourself, I don’t think it should be that hard!

This is absolutely my favorite song ever. When we were kids my sister would sing this song. Our world in the 60’s was centered around Christ and our church, Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. Louise Williams would end her radio show with this song. This was real singing.
