WOW! it’s true. Good things happen to those who wait. I have waited a long time for Spice to get their “Just Due”. I loved the music of those guys. Everyone who heard them knew that they were up there with the best. But, alas, all is not over. Can’t wait to here the “new”
music by Richard and his brother Ron. People, GET READ, your’re in for a fantastic ride.

Hello Everyone:
Let me start by saying I am shocked but extremely grateful.
My mom (who is an active 80 years old adn should be my manager) found this website and forwarded
this to me.

My name is Richard Brown and the founder of the group Spice (originally
called Spice of Life). At first I thought this was a joke until I saw
a copy of the actual album with my name and my co-writers on the label.
I never heard of TSG records but I understand they have something to do with tax write-offs.

We were signed to Don King Productions (the fight promoter) and the label was LPG Records (managed by Lloyd Price).
Over the years the (1) copy that I had was borrowed and never returned so I would love to get a copy.
Can anyone provide information where to obtain one?

You should know that my brother (who has his own studio: Check out his website @Rabtown.com)
and I have been writing and recording over the years and will be
completing our first independent project in a few months.
If you enjoyed those old tunes you will love our new stuff.

Hi Rosemary,

The album is very rare because the label was not a real record label in the traditional sense but a tax scam for the owners - most copies of the album were intentionally destroyed. I’d be interested to know if the group ever was paid by TSG or even approved the album. I no longer have the album for sale but I have several copies of the 45 single they cut, “Everything Is You” b/w “What Do We Mean” and if you are interested in one feel free to contact me at the shop. I’d love to hear from you.

I know these young men who made up Spice of Life- Richard, Michael and Ceddie.They were from the Bronx - Soundviesw area.
In fact, one is my son. He wrote You are Everything to Me. We have been trying to find this album for years.

You absolutely ROCK for sharing this one! Probably the greatest, most obscure thing I will hear all year. “Happy Music” is absolutely bananas!

There seems to be some kind of connection between the tax write-off TSG label and the legitimate indie LPG label. Two titles initially released by LPG were later re-released by TSG:

“Everything Is You” single by Spice - the lead cut off this album, and
“Music…Music” album by LPG label owner Lloyd Price
