Of course Haiti will need a lot more than music to get through this tragedy. Which is why longtime friend of Good Records, Mr. Captain Planet, put together this mix.

Here’s a mix of great old school (60’s & 70’s) haitian records pulled from my crates. If you aren’t familiar with Konpa or other classic Haitian sounds, now’s the perfect time to get schooled. There’s some great tunes on here that you probably won’t find anywhere else. Right now, untold numbers are suffering just 700 miles away from us in Port Au Prince, Haiti, following catastrophic earthquakes that have left tens of thousands dead, and millions homeless and without food, water, security, or shelter in a nation that was already in the direst of straits. Some friends and I have started a drive to auction off records in exchange for donations instead of cash, and we want everyone to get involved!
